KIRK KIRKLAND is a professional TV and film editor. With years of lead and finishing experience in series television, he has edited scripted, docu-drama, reality, competition, comedy, and documentary projects. Mr. Kirkland’s breadth of experience spans the globe with productions in Austria, U.K., New Zealand, and other locales. He has written for both reality, as well as docu-dramas. In addition, he has written and directed a feature documentary. In 2019, Mr. Kirkland edited “Betrayed”, a true crime series nominated for a Critic’s Choice Award. Mr. Kirkland’s other awards include two CINE Awards for Best Documentary Editing, a Series Emmy for “The Osbournes,” a News Emmy for the Oklahoma City Bombing coverage, a Qantas Award for Best Factual Series, and a Cable ACE nomination. Mr. Kirkland has off-line and on-line proficiency with AVID, Adobe After-Effects, Photoshop, Boris Effects, Sapphire, Adobe Premiere Pro and FCP 7. He is the owner/operator of an AVID MC 2018, Adobe Premiere and FCP 7. He received his M.A. degree in Cinema and Photography from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, graduating Magna Cum Laude.
